ApplePly®

Description

Premium Quality Hardwood Plywood

Why Used

ApplePly® is specified for its attractive edge, high strength and solid hardwood core.

Where Used

ApplePly is widely used in retail fixtures, contemporary furniture and
architectural interiors, where its attractive edge is incorporated as a design
element. It is also widely used to make woodworking jigs, drawer sides,
puzzles and toys. Because it is virtually void free and constructed from
hardwoods, ApplePly machines like solid wood.

Dimensions

ApplePly is available in 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" thickness
and 48-1/2" x 96-1/2" panels. In addition, 3/4" panels are available in
48-1/2" x 120-1/2".

Options

All domestic and most imported face and back veneers are available in
ApplePly, though it is commonly stocked in Maple. All States' NOVA UV
cured coatings can be applied to ApplePly panels, and custom component
machining is also available with some minimum quantities. ApplePly is
made with soy and phenolic adhesives. When laser cutting is involved,
specify UF adhesives.

Environment

Unless otherwise specified, ApplePly is constructed without the use of
urea-formaldehyde adhesives. It exceeds CARB 93120.12 and qualifies
for LEED IEQ Credit 4.4 for Low Emitting Materials. Similarly, ApplePly is
typically constructed from FSC Certified inner plies, but you must specify
FSC Certified material to receive proper documentation. Birch inner plies
are imported from Poland or Russia and the product is manufactured in
Eugene, Oregon.
