CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
States Industries, an innovative market leader in the manufacture of quality hardwood plywood products, is currently seeking a "Hands-on" financial executive responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of the company and all IT functionality. To provide leadership and coordination in the business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the company.
Responsibilities include coordinating the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses and information reports. Prepare and file federal, state, third-party, and other financial reports to ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS and other taxing entity requirements. Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, annual audit and systems including the annual budgeting process. Monitor performance against objectives. Create monthly and yearly financial package, including analysis of variances versus plan, and supporting schedules. Oversee all banking relationships and services, present the annual financial plan to the Board and the Bank. Provide analysis and follow up on Board, Shareholder and Bank requested financial information.
Qualified candidates must possess excellent interpersonal, public speaking, and presentation skills with the ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Have knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Must have heavy experience with standard cost accounting in a manufacturing setting, wood products industry preferred. Twelve to fifteen years' experience in progressively increasing accounting/finance and IT positions, Bachelor's degree and MBA preferred. Some travel required.
