Nova Lab
DESCRIPTION
Laboratory Grade Prefinished panelsWHY USED
Chemically resistant finishes for use in extreme settings.WHERE USED
NOVALAB finishes have been formulated and applied to meet Scientific Equipment and Furniture Association (SEFA) standards for chemical resistance. They are appropriate to use anywhere interior vertical surfaces are exposed to harsh chemicals, including laboratories, commercial kitchens, work rooms and testing centers.OPTIONS
NOVALAB finishes may be applied to all panels manufactured by States Industries. Standard gloss levels are Satin (30-40% reflectivity), Medium (50-60%) and High (70-80%). Custom gloss levels may be specified on volume orders. NOVALAB is available in clear only.ENVIRONMENTAL
States NOVALAB finishes are 100% solid, modified epoxy acrylate that is cured by ultraviolet light. They do not release any volatile organic compounds or hazardous air pollutants in manufacturing or in use. These coatings are roll applied in a flat line system that recycles excess finish, eliminating waste and curing instantaneously. NOVALAB complies with South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Rule 1113, and contributes to LEED IEQ 4.2: Low Emitting Materials-Paints and Coatings. Like all States Industries' panels, NOVALAB products exceed CARB 93120.12.PERFORMANCE
NOVALAB is third-party certified to meet SEFA's 8.0 CABINET SURFACE FINISH TEST AND 8.1 CHEMICAL RESISTANCE TESTING.
All States Industries' panels comply with ANSI/HPVA HP-1-2009 American National Standard for Hardwood and Decorative Plywood. UV Cured, Acrylated Epoxy, Polyester or Urethane coatings are ranked the highest in performance of 13 types of finishes compared in the Architectural Woodwork Standards. See, 2009 AWI, AWMAC, WI- Architectural Woodwork Standards - 1st Edition, October 1, 2009.
