Nova Peak
DESCRIPTION
Pre-stained and finished panelsWHY USED
Provides small quantities of popular wood species and colors on higher grades of veneer.WHERE USED
NOVA PEAK panels allow shops to produce high quality case goods without extensive finishing capabilities. Pre-finished NOVA panels are used primarily on interior vertical surfaces such as cabinets, closets, fixtures and architectural interiors.OPTIONS
NOVA PEAK panels are a stock version of States' custom color capabilities. Since they are produced to stock and not to order, options are limited to the standard offering, ten colors on four species. There are two options on Oak, three on Maple, three on Cherry and two on Mahogany. Thicknesses include 1/4" lauan core and 3/4" veneer core or ArmorCore®. Face grades are A Cherry and Mahogany and B Maple and Oak. NOVA PEAK panels are finished on both sides.ENVIRONMENTAL
States' NOVA PEAK finishes are 100% solid, modified epoxy acrylate that is cured by ultraviolet light. They do not release any volatile organic compounds or hazardous air pollutants in manufacturing or in use. These coatings are roll applied in a flat line system that recycles excess finish, eliminating waste and curing instantaneously. Veneer cored NOVA PEAK panels are manufactured without the use of urea-formaldehyde adhesives. NOVA PEAK complies with South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Rule 1113, and contributes to LEED IEQ 4.2: Low Emitting Materials-Paints and Coatings. Like all States Industries' panels, NOVA PEAK exceeds CARB 93120.12.PERFORMANCE
All States Industries' panels comply with ANSI/HPVA HP-1-2009 American National Standard for Hardwood and Decorative Plywood. UV Cured, Acrylated Epoxy, Polyester or Urethane coatings are ranked the highest in performance of 13 types of finishes compared in the Architectural Woodwork Standards. See 2009 AWI, AWMAC, WI- Architectural Woodwork Standards - 1st Edition, October 1, 2009.
