September 14, 2020
Eugene, OR—States Industries is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to the company’s sales team: Chris Acree as OEM Account Manager and Al Harrison as Sales Account Manager. Both have extensive industry knowledge and experience.
“We are thrilled to have Chris and Al join the States’ sales force,” said Dan Hitchcock, States Industries’ Vice President of Sales. “Both share the States commitment to providing exceptional service to our customers. They will be a great addition to the team.”
Acree came to States with more than 20 years of working in distribution and direct sales wood manufacturers including Uniboard, Georgia-Pacific and Template-Inland. In Acree’s role, he will be based out of his home in the Midwest but will call on OEM accounts across North America.
Harrison joined States after more than 20 years in management at Intermountain Wood Products. He was hired to start taking over accounts in Northern California, the mountain states, and the Southwest with the expected retirement of long-time sales manager John “JJ” Johnson in early 2021.
“JJ has been such a tremendous asset and respected leader in our industry,” said Hitchcock. “We are sorry to see him go and appreciate all he has done to represent the company during his time with us. We wish him many years of enjoyment in his retirement.”
Hitchcock added, “We’re happy we could get Al onboard prior to JJ’s departure to help with the transition. We are excited about the knowledge Al brings to the position and we’re confident he will continue the excellent service that JJ’s customers have enjoyed for so long.”
